ESEF, inline XBRL, roadmap 2020
About the event
On 10 October 2018 XBRL Belgium, the Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) and the National Bank of Belgium (NBB) organised an information session about the European Single Electronic Format.
The European Single Electronic Format (ESEF) is the electronic reporting format in which issuers listed on EU regulated markets shall prepare their annual financial reports from 1 January 2020 (*). IFRS consolidated financial statements contained in those reports shall be labelled with XBRL ‘tags’ which make the labelled disclosures structured and machine-readable.
During this event regulators, listed companies with (i)XBRL experience and experienced stakeholders shared their insights on the ESEF roadmap towards 2020 to help you prepare for structured electronic reporting.
The target audience consisted of all those involved in the preparation, audit and filing with the FSMA for publication through STORI (the Belgian official mechanism for storage of regulated information) of annual financial reports of listed companies as well as those who will make use of the structured electronic reporting in the ESEF inline XBRL format.
The event has taken place at the NBB premises Brussels. Presentations were given in the language of the speaker (Dutch, French or English). A sandwich lunch at noon closed the conference on a non-formal note.
Presentations are available via this link.
