ESEF published in the Official Journal
Starting in 2021, listed companies (listed on a regulated market) must publish annual financial statements in accordance with the new electronic reporting format known as ESEF (European Single Electronic Format).
The Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS) specifying the new European Single Electronic Format (ESEF) were published in the 29 May 2019 issue of the Official Journal of the European Union. This publication makes available official translations of the taxonomy in the various European languages, including Dutch and French.
On the same date, the European Commission published a press release and a series of Frequently Asked Questions relating to this matter.
On June 6, 2019 ESMA published an update of the taxonomy.
